Ramona Goolsby was elected to the Ciudad Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors in November 2025. She is a resident of Rio Rancho and holds a Master’s degree in Nursing.

For more than 40 years, Ramona managed a successful 380-acre ranch, where she implemented practical soil and water conservation practices, including terracing, soil testing, and watershed improvement projects. As a 2005 Oklahoma State University Master Cattleman, she developed deep expertise in sustainable land and resource management.

With 33 years in nursing and more than 20 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Ramona understands that the health of a community is inseparable from the health of its soil and water. She believes environmental health is foundational to personal and public health, with clean water and healthy soils supporting safe drinking water, sustainable food production, and resilient communities.

Ramona is also committed to transparent governance and looks forward to continuing Ciudad’s work in conservation, education, and meaningful community engagement.
