Casey Holland
Casey (they/them) has been farming in the Middle Rio Grande Valley since 2011. They discovered their passion for farming just before graduating from UNM by doing an internship with Project Feed the Hood in their community gardens. Since then, they have committed themself to growing nutritious, healthy food for their community and ensuring it is accessible to everyone, while simultaneously supporting and mentoring the next generation of farmers. For the last decade they helped make Chispas Farm the beautiful space it is today, and have now transitioned to be a part of the Grow the Growers Farmer Training Program. They are grateful for the opportunity to make such a significant impact on their community and look forward to doing so for decades to come. When they're not farming, Casey loves dancing, collaborative storytelling, and spending time with their little dog Fawn.
