South Valley Neighborhood Trees and Streetside Rain Garden Project
What: Bernalillo County and the design team will provide an overview of the South Valley Neighborhood Trees and Streetside Rain Garden Project at the multi-neighborhood meeting. The meeting will cover:
- Existing conditions and drainage challenges on South Valley streets
- What are streetside rain gardens? What are their benefits and tradeoffs?
- Priority project sites
- Streetside rain garden toolkit: Initial conceptual designs
- Community survey and discussion
Snacks and drinks will be provided. Spanish interpretation will be available.
Who: The multi-neighborhood meeting is for South Valley residents and community-based organizations, but anyone is welcome to attend.
When: Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026 (6 – 7:30 p.m.)
