Increasing Diversity Field Day in Albuquerque

The Common Edge Habitat Fields at Open Space Visitor Center in Albuquerque demonstrate how to convert former monoculture farmland to a productive, diverse ecosystem. At this Field Day you will learn ways to increase diversity using planned succession for long-term health of soil, water, crops, animals, wildlife, and you! See first-hand how abandoned fields have transitioned to a thriving native grassland supporting many animals, both wild and domestic. We’ll also talk about ethical seed collecting and harvest native seeds onsite.

  • When: Wednesday Sept. 25, 2024 9am – noon
  • Where: Open Space Visitor Center: 6500 Coors Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM
