Integrative Conservation Education
Ciudad SWCD in 2015 was awarded a grant from the NM Soil and Water Conservation Commission, through their Water Quality and Conservation Grants Program, to conduct a series of demonstration workshops to address the integrated management of conservation practices (forest thinning, surface water/erosion, noxious weeds and groundwater). To read the District proposal, please click here.
In support of this effort, the District is seeking landowners who are interested in volunteering to host one of the workshops. Ideally, we will find a willing landowner in each of the three major ecoregions within the District: east mountains, valley and west mesa. If you are interested in hosting a workshop, please contact Ciudad SWCD at (505) 510-DIRT or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
